Veo football film to Hudl, play by play
Hudl breakdowns work one play at a time. Here is the fastest way to turn a full Veo game recording into clips you can upload to Hudl.
Steps
- In Veo: open the match, make it public, copy the link.
- In FilmSplit: paste the link and tap Find plays. A full game takes several minutes; you can leave the page and come back.
- Review: check the flagged plays, skip timeouts and huddles, and nudge any clip that starts too late.
- Export: download one zip. The clips are named 001.mp4, 002.mp4 and so on, in game order.
- In Hudl: unzip and upload the clips. A computer makes this easiest.
Questions
How do I get Veo football film into Hudl play by play?
Paste the public Veo match link into FilmSplit, check the plays it found and export. You get one zip of clips numbered 001, 002, 003 in game order. Unzip it and upload the clips to Hudl, which is easiest from a computer.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. You can paste a link, review the plays and export from a phone. The download is one zip with every clip; moving those into Hudl is usually easiest from a computer.
Is the sideline audio included?
Not unless you want it. Clips export without sound by default, since sideline audio picks up play calls and conversations. Tick 'include sound' to keep it.
Who can see my game film?
Only people who have that game's review link. There is no public gallery, and the review page and clips are deleted automatically after 7 days. During the free beta we keep a small, silent copy of each game to train and improve play detection; it is never shown to anyone else. Deleting a game from its review page deletes everything, including that copy. See our privacy policy.
